The MBAA enhances the communication between MBAA members, the NBAA, and other aviation organizations. Our Membership has representation from over 100 MN based companies that utilize extensive use of corporate aircraft within their core business. Our goals include, but are not limited to:
--Positively influencing laws and regulations that impact corporate aviation
--Educating government officials and agencies along with the general public on the needs and benefits of corporate aviation
--Informing MBAA members of regulation changes, safety issues and technological advances that impact corporate aviation. The MBAA works to enhance and promote safety issues and the general livelihood of our individual members working in corporate aviation.
To fulfill its objectives, the organization offers a variety of services designed to enhance members' careers. The MBAA hosts monthly meetings that promote the professional development of its members. These meetings keep members informed about safety, regulations and airport issues. Past meetings have included speakers from the FAA, MAC, ATC, NBAA, aircraft manufacturers, flight planning agencies, flight training facilities, retired astronauts, educators, etc.
Along with the Monthly meetings the MBAA also hosts a summer golf event and a holiday party to encourage networking among association members. Every month, members of the organization receive a newsletter covering association events. When necessary, this is supplemented with email updates. In addition, each member has access to the membership roster, which provides easy access to corporate aviation colleagues.
The MBAA currently has over 600 members which includes pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, avionic technicians, schedulers, dispatchers, aircraft sales, aircraft manufactures, fixed base operators, aviation law firms, insurance companies, local, state and federal government officials, catering companies, and other companies that provide services to corporate aviation.
