Professional Development for MBAA Members
The Minnesota Business Aviation Association is proud to offer financial support for professional development exclusively to our members. To help sustain and grow the business aviation industry in Minnesota, the MBAA will a scholarship to selected members seeking additional training opportunities through events, conferences, and professional development sessions offered by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
All members in good standing for more than two consecutive years are eligible to apply.
APPLICANT INFORMATION
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Complete & Submit SCHOLARSHIP COVER LETTER
- Copy of your current resume
- Copies of all FAA ratings or certificates held (if applicable)
- A 250 to 500-word essay describing the applicant’s previous background, current involvement, and demonstration of their commitment to pursuing a professional career in business aviation.
- Description of the training program the applicant wishes to attend. (SEE Examples at NBAA/PD )
- A letter of recommendation from a member of the aviation department or a relevant aviation professional contact. (Other than relatives or students)

MBAA 2024-2025 Scholarship Opportunities
The Minnesota Business Aviation Association is proud to offer financial support to individuals with aspirations for a career in Business Aviation to sustain and grow the business aviation industry in Minnesota. The MBAA will provide a limited scholarship to selected individuals seeking additional training available in the following categories.
APPLICANT INFORMATION
Flight Training Applicants - Include the following:
1. Flight Safety International – ATP/CTP Course.
2. CAE - Excel/XLS SIC Initial Qual
Maintenance Training Applicants - Include the following:
1. Gordon Hoff Achievement of Excellence in Maintenance (SEE additional info below)
2. CAE – Practical Aircraft Wiring Course
Invitational* Business Aviation Scholarships
(*For individuals pursuing a career in Business Aviation)
The Minnesota Business Aviation Association is proud to partner with business aviation companies to promote and encourage growth within our industry. Each year, the MBAA selects scholarship recipients and awards them in August. We are excited to offer scholarship financial support and training opportunities for students who are pursuing careers in Business Aviation and/or attending an accredited aviation institutions*.
* (Approved/Accredited aviation programs include certificates/degrees from the following institutions: Academy College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Fox Valley Technical College, Lake Superior College, Minneapolis & Technical College, Minnesota State University – Mankato, University of North Dakota. Additional schools or programs may be approved by the scholarship committee at their discretion.)
